No signal is a normal operating mode.
Plant rooms and basements do not come with coverage. Fenwix is engineered so the entire core workflow (inspect, capture evidence, report, verify) completes on the device, with no required cloud round-trip.
What works offline today
- Autosave: every entry is written to durable local storage as it happens
- Inspections filled and completed without connectivity
- Evidence captured and stored locally: photos, audio, signatures
- Asset context available locally: history, due dates, out-of-service state
- Full PDF report generated on the device
- Report verification against the local source record
Current-state note: inspection data is stored in Fenwix’s encrypted app-private database and evidence vault. The encryption protects data at rest on the device; it is not remote E2EE or cloud synchronization.

ROADMAP
The encrypted local database, evidence vault and canonical bundle foundation are implemented. Before customer-owned synchronization is claimed, Fenwix must still complete provider adapters, an append-only operation log, a resumable queue, explicit conflict handling and tested recovery.
